Warner going dancing?

Though he wasn't especially known for his nimbleness afoot as an NFL QB, rumor has it that Kurt Warner is going to compete on the next season of ABC's Dancing With The Stars. The official cast announcement will be made on August 30th.

Not sure the show is exactly going to be made up of Kurt's kind of crowd: rumors have the cast being filled with various Bachelorettes, Bachelors, rejected bachelors, rejected bachelorettes, and just plain rejects, such as New Jersey housewives or "The Situation" from Jersey Shore.

But if Kurt doesn't wind up going against an Olympic ice skater or someone else who essentially dances for a living (come on, did anyone last season expect a Pussycat Doll would not do well in a dancing contest?), I say he's the favorite to win. NFL stars do well on this show. Emmitt Smith has won it. Jerry Rice, Jason Taylor and Warren Sapp have all come in second. At least finish better than Dorko Cinco, who I think was 4th last year.

I'd rather hear Kurt break down a West Coast offense from a broadcast booth than watch him do a West Coast Swing on the dance floor, but good luck to him if he's actually doing the show.
