The NFL Finance Committee has voted unanimously in favor of Stan Kroenke's bid to take over ownership of the Rams. The rest of the owners vote on the bid tomorrow, which should be a fait accompli given the committee's recommendation. Then again, this is ownership of a St. Louis football team we're talking about. Don't count on anything from the NFL where St. Louis is concerned unless you have it in writing and fifteen lawyers witnessed it.
Once Kroenke becomes the official owner, we'll then be able to clear up what percentage of the team he'll actually own, and what the heck he's doing (if anything) with his other sports holdings. As an NFL owner, he'll also get access to Jerry Jones' plastic surgeon and Al Davis' stash of crazy pills.
