Camp news, 8/10

(from local media reports)

Today's schedule: one practice, 2:00 - 4:30.

Injury list loses Adam Goldberg and Drew Miller, who were able to practice last night despite elbow and back injuries, respectively, incurred during yesterday morning's practice. But add Eugene Sims due to a hamstring problem. I have also re-added Bradley Fletcher, who didn't appear in the scrimmage and sat out yesterday morning's practice, too. It could be that they're just being cautious with his knee, but not playing is not playing.

The list: (lih means "last I heard", injury has not been confirmed recently by a "real" reporter)
John Greco (pectoreal); Keith Toston (lih, concussion-like symptoms); Justin King (calf); Ron Bartell (ankle); C.J. Ah You (hamstring); Marquis Johnson (lih, knee); Mardy Gilyard (arm/wrist); Brandon Gibson (hamstring); Na'il Diggs (lih, quad); James Hall (groin); Jacob Bell (oblique); Kevin Payne (lih, quad); James Butler (knee); Kenneth Darby (hamstring); Hank Fraley (knee); Fred Robbins (knee); Josh Brown (hip); Ryan McKee (lih, back); Bradley Fletcher (knee); Eugene Sims (hamstring).

Future roster move: It sounds like Steve Spagnuolo is leaning toward bringing someone in off the street to kick for the Rams Saturday night. Well, that'll take some of the fun out of things. They won't have to try any of my wacky ideas from yesterday, or their own wacky ideas, tried at camp yesterday, of having Daniel Fells or Jordan Kent take over Josh Brown's kicking duties. Still, it lets them have realistic special teams play and keeps Brown safe, sound and rested up, so it's all good.
