(from local media reports)

This weekend's schedule: one practice, 2:00 - 4:30. There will be a practice tomorrow morning from 8:15 - 10:00, and the team scrimmages tomorrow night at Lindenwood University starting at 6:30. I hope to have a scrimmage report up on RamView Sunday morning. The team does not practice Sunday.

Injury list: Jason Smith participated in 11-on-11 drills yesterday and is therefore coming off the list. He did sit out the afternoon practice, though. Mark Lewis also comes off the list, but because he was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury that must be a lot worse than it looked when he pulled up with it on Saturday.

The list, then: John Greco (pectoral, or as we say in Missourah, pectoreal); Keith Toston (possible concussion); Justin King (calf); Chris Hovan (back); C.J. Ah You (hamstring); Darell Scott (hamstring); Marquis Johnson (knee). The first three players all experienced their injuries yesterday. Hovan practiced Wednesday after injuring his back Tuesday night but has missed multiple practices since then.

Keenan Burton sat out the afternoon practice because of a swollen knee. I'll keep him off the list for now, and he'd be best to stay off it with all the competition at his position. I think Burton's a good player, and the Rams should have used him more last year when he was healthy. Problem is - a known problem at the time the Rams drafted him - he just can't stay healthy. Burton's going to need a lot better than his usual injury luck to stick with the team this year.

Good job by the St. Louis media keeping us up to date on injuries this training camp, btw. Thanks are probably due to Bradford, but camp reports just seem more thorough this year than in recent seasons.

Media views: After visiting camp yesterday, John Clayton declared on ESPN Radio this morning that Sam Bradford is already good enough to run the Rams offense and expects him to be starting on Opening Day. Has enough of the offense (and defense) been installed yet to make that a reasonable projection? The sports media appear to be in a bigger hurry to see Bradford at QB1 than even Rams fans are.

Roster moves: Defensive lineman Ernest Reid has re-joined the team and takes the spot opened by Lewis' move to the IR. (Oh great, another rookie free agent profile I need to work up.) Reid participated in OTAs here this spring. Wait a minute - DOOZER is available again, and they picked up another d-lineman instead?
