Michael Lombardi says, on NFL.com right now, that Jeff Fisher could make his decision on where to coach next as early as today, and that he's picking Miami.
Quoting Lombardi, though he didn't put it in screaming caps:
FISHER WANTS NO PART OF A POTENTIAL RELOCATION and feels more comfortable with the structure in place in Miami than St. Louis.
The second part of that assertion is laughable, since we've been under the impression all along that Fisher gets to pick the Rams' next GM. What structure could be more comfortable?
The first part of that assertion, though, makes Fisher's decision a telling moment in the history of football in St. Louis. If he doesn't believe Stan Kroenke doesn't intend to eventually move the Rams, why should we, who haven't had the opportunity Fisher has to talk with Kroenke on the subject face-to-face?
Stan?
