Path to the Draft, 3/21

Short recap here, as this installment of the show talked mostly about Saints' coaches being suspended and Tim Tebow getting traded...

* Pro days.
Baylor - Robert Griffin III couldn't really improve his stock at his pro day; there wasn't much higher for it to go. He showed great touch and accuracy on the deep ball and a live, but not always consistent, arm. He's got some mechanical flaws to fix, but nothing worse than any other college QB ever has. Impressive athleticism, live arm, really drives outside passes. Good release, good spin on the ball, only off on a couple of throws. Worked under center fluidly and effortlessly. Showed he can make any throw in the NFL repertoire.

Kendall Wright ran the 40 in the 4.45-4.47 range, a major improvement over his Combine time. He played with good speed, caught the ball well (with one drop) and ran routes fluidly. He's only 5'10" but Mike Mayock made the eyebrow-raising prediction that he shouldn't last past the top 20. Charlie Casserly continues to be a skeptic, thinks Wright will struggle to consistently beat tight coverage.

Terence Ganaway ran in the 4.6s, showed better feet than scouting reports usually give him credit for and caught the ball well. Came in at 241 lbs.

Rutgers - Mohammed Sanu ran in the 4.52-4.55 range, a significant improvement over his Combine time. Projects as a Jason Avant-type slot receiver.

Boston College - No problems for Luke Kuechly at his pro day. Didn't run; didn't have to. The Eagles' line coach worked him out, intensifying rumors that Philadelphia wants to draft him.

Stanford tomorrow (3/22).
