I have been meaning to list the former Rams coaches who hit the market as a result of Black Monday last week. I guess it's possible some assistants could be kept by their new head coach, but in most cases, when the head coach goes, the assistants do, too, so here's the list:
Chicago - Lovie Smith, linebackers coach Bob Babich, assistant DBs coach Gill Byrd
Cleveland - Pat Shurmur, WRs coach Nolan Cromwell
Kansas City - special teams coach Tom McMahon, quality control coach Derius Swinton
Philadelphia - special teams coach Bobby April. I can see him staying, if he's under contract.
San Diego - secondary coach Ron Meeks

- William Hayes was interviewed by his hometown paper in Winston-Salem, NC. He's pretty sure the Rams want him back, and says St. Louis is the ideal spot for him.
- Mike McNeill has been selected for induction into his alma mater Kirkwood High School's Athletic Hall of Fame. He'll be inducted in April along with high school teammate Jeremy Maclin. The Athletic HoF page at KHS's website doesn't work, so the only other NFL player I can find in their HoF is former Bears o-lineman Jay Leeuwenberg, inducted in 2009.
- Pro Football Weekly reports that the Rams are not likely to sign unrestricted free agents Craig Dahl, Mario Haggan or Rocky McIntosh.
* Ex-Rams news:
- Bryant Browning's practice squad contract expired in Cleveland, but he was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Giants.
- Deangelo Peterson was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Redskins.
- Three former Rams have had their practice squad contracts expire and were free agents at last word: Kendric Burney (Carolina), Demarco Cosby (Kansas City), Kevin Hughes (San Diego).
- Last but not least, how long has it been around here since the last Mortty Ivy update? He had a tryout with the Raiders but was not signed.
