Rams report, 1/15

Janoris Jenkins came down with a lot of big plays for the Rams this season, but it looks like he's not going to come down with a Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers Association gave their award to Panthers LB Luke Kuechly yesterday. Kuechly led the NFL in tackles. Haven't seen any mention of the runners-up.

I've pretty much got nothing else today, so here are links to recent articles about some of the Rams' other rookies:

The Trumaine Show: Former Griz catching on - Great Falls Tribune
Trumaine Johnson's words about competing with his teammates in the Rams secondary give good vibes about the future of that unit:
“It’s competition (and) I feed off competition. Janoris is a great player. Going up against Cortland and those guys really brought my confidence up. I learn every day from them."

Zuerlein Learns Plenty in Rookie Year - StLouisRams.com
Greg Zuerlein's going to take a month or two off from kicking, but his expectations are not lowering:
“Anytime you miss you are not going to be happy with it whether it’s a 55-yarder or a PAT, either way you are not going to be happy with it. Any of those kicks, I feel I should have made and I have just got to learn from it and get better.”

Rams' Daryl Richardson running past obstacles - ESPNW
Good article that emphasizes Richardson's work ethic.
"My mindset in camp was to keep working hard, trying to get a better and better role on this team. My work ethic was going to have to be the difference."

In ex-Rams news, the Broncos fired secondary coach Ron Milus. Their front office says otherwise, but that secondary's performance against Baltimore Saturday couldn't have helped Coach Milus any. Also, the Giants have signed Gentleman Kris Adams to a reserve/future contract.
