Rams 9/7 report: Revenge of Guidugli

* Transactions:

- Ben Guidugli is back at Rams Park; he has replaced Demarco Cosby on the practice squad.

- Another practice squad change: CB Josh Gordy replaces Tim Atchison. Really? I thought Atchison had a fine preseason. Gordy is 5'11", 195, played college ball at Central Michigan, came here from the Packers. Appeared in two games for the Packers last year, was originally signed by the Jagwires in 2010 as an UDFA. Spent most of last year on the Packers' PS. College major was health fitness; he was second-team all-MAC as a senior.

And, yes, Berry Gordy of Motown Records fame is a relative. A cousin.

I'll say this much, Green Bay knows how to develop and coach defensive backs. I might have kept Atchison and kicked somebody else off the PS, though.

* Sunday's game should be a sellout. There were less than 800 tickets left as of yesterday, so I would think it's a lock to avoid local TV blackout already. Ticket sales were said to be brisk, so a genuine sellout looks very possible, even though the Cardinals are also at home Sunday (another fine piece of unfriendly scheduling by the NFL). So all you St. Louis-is-just-a-baseball-town people can be quiet now.
