Transactions, Jan. 1: Look Hus back

NFL Canada
According to NFL.com's transactions page, the Rams have signed long snapper Jorgen Hus to a futures contract. This will be Jorgen's third go-around with the Rams. Proof NFL long-snapping is a difficult career to get into, and, ask Chris Massey, you can be perfect at your craft and lose your job anyway.

Former Rams tracker:
12/31 - Jim Haslett "parted ways" with Washington. Jay Gruden didn't exactly look like an offensive genius this season, nor did he exactly further RGIII's development, but Haslett took most of the heat for Washington's poor season. Other ex-Ram coaches who figure to be hitting the open market: Al Saunders (Raiders), Greg Olsen (Raiders) and both Aprils, Bobby Sr. (Raiders) and Bobby III (Jets). Tim McDonald (Jets), father of T.J., would also appear to be moving to a new job in the near future.

12/31 - Detroit signed Joe Long to their practice squad. Joe was in training camp with the Rams in 2012 and is Jake Long's brother.
12/30 - Daryl Richardson signed futures contract with the Jets.
12/29 - Kourtnei Brown signed futures contract with Houston.
