Former Rams tracker, 1/16

Nola.com
A lot of former Rams coaches have been on the move since the end of the regular season got the annual coaching carousel spinning. A lot of the action has involved the Giants, who let two former Ram coaches go, and replaced them with - two former Ram coaches. Steve Spagnuolo returns to the DC job where he was last such a success, he went from there to Rams' head coach. He replaces Perry Fewell. Secondary coach Peter Giunta was also let go; he has been replaced by - wait for it... wait for it... - Tim Walton. Get used to VERY soft zone coverage, Giants fans.

More Rams-related coach and player movement:
* Bobby April III (LBs) and Tim McDonald (secondary) join new head coach Rex Ryan's staff in Buffalo;
* Scott Linehan stays in Dallas, but got a three-year contract extension and a promotion to offensive coordinator;
* Henry Ellard and Andre Curtis were let go by New Orleans. Unaware that wide receivers were the problem there;
* Former Rams signed to future contracts: Matt Conrath (Pittsburgh); Jermelle Cudjo (Kansas City); R.J. Dill (Dallas); Mike McNeill (Carolina); Nate Ness (Detroit); Austin Pettis (San Diego); Quinton Pointer (Baltimore); Gerald Rivers (Denver); Robert Steeples (Dallas). All according to Rotoworld. I don't know what Rotoworld does right, but they consistently have more accurate NFL transactions info than ESPN.com, or, stupidly, NFL.COM.

A ton of ex-Rams are once again involved as coaches in this year's NFLPA Collegiate All-Star Game; more on them in an upcoming post.
