Rams September schedule

9/9 vs. Carolina - not my ideal pick for a home opener because the Rams always seem to have trouble with the Panthers.

9/16 vs. Whiners - I like this a lot better than the NFL making the Rams the Whiners' home opener the last couple of years. However, it's not right, and completely avoidable if you're even trying to put together a competent schedule, for anybody to have two home games to open the season, because that means somebody else doesn't get their home opener until week 3. The Rams got screwed over that way a couple of years ago. This year, the Chiefs and Falcons don't open at home till Week 3, while the Rams and Jagwires are home weeks 1 and 2.

9/23 @ Tampa - I was hoping the Rams would get Tampa in September; their weather shouldn't be too much different from St. Louis'. Wouldn't want to see one of those meltdowns like they had in Phoenix in 1996.

9/30 @ Dallas - One of the few Dallas games that NFL isn't cramming down our throats as a national game.

2-2 looks like a decent start; 3-1 would be an accomplishment...
