RamView, 8/17: Thursday practice notes

Photo - STLToday
* Weather drove practice indoors for the first time this summer on Thursday. The Rams don't practice again prior to Saturday night's 7:00 kickoff for the Governor's Cup. They'll have a walkthrough at the Dome tomorrow to get the rookies oriented (or as we say in Missouri, orientated). Wait a minute, you say - didn't the team already practice in the Dome? Yes, but the Rams didn't get to use their own locker room that day - it was opened up to the fans for Fan Fest.

* Updated injury list:
- Limited: Brandon Gibson, Darian Stewart, Scott Wells
- Out: Danario Alexander, Bradley Fletcher, Jamaar Jarrett, Trevor Laws
- Probable: Sam Bradford (ankle). You know, that non-issue he brought up on his own a couple of weeks ago.
- Back in action: Trumaine Johnson.

* Depth chart report: Brian Quick, Chris Givens and Michael Hoomanawanui all played on the first unit Thursday. Quick had his best practice to date, making quite a few good plays. Isaiah Pead dropped a bunch of passes Tuesday apparently because he forgot to put his contact lenses in. In related news, you have got to be f**king kidding me.

* Former Ram update: D-lineman Marlon Favorite signed by the Redskins.

* Sounds like the starters will go about three series against the Chiefs. That is of course a guideline, not a rule. The game will be televised live locally on KTVI. Does that mean the game is sold out? That would be a surprise, to say the least.
