The Rams and the Washington Redskins have an agreement in principle for a major draft pick trade.
The trade is expected to become official when the league year starts on Tuesday.
The Rams give up: their first round pick, the #2 pick in this year's draft.
The Redskins give the Rams: their first round picks in 2012, 2013 and 2014, (2012's is #6 overall),
and their second round pick this year.
The heck with Justin Blackmon's 4.45 40 today; this trade is more than worth having to miss out on him, assuming he goes to Cleveland now.
Or will the Rams target Trent Richardson now with the #6 pick? Michael Floyd? (seems a little high) Will they now trade back up with the Browns to assure they can get Blackmon? If the Browns take Richardson and the Rams land Blackmon at #6 anyway, remind me never to play poker with Les Snead.
This is a historic day for the Rams franchise. This is the kind of deal
on which dynasties have been built. Congratulations to Les Snead, the
Rams front office and Jeff Fisher. And to Rams Nation.
