Rams news, 9/8

* Sunday's season opener against Arizona is currently reported as 2,000 short of a sellout. The average price of a Rams ticket, per multiple sources, is $70. So that's $140,000 worth of tickets. For the NFL's brutally-antiquated blackout policy purposes, teams may buy their tickets back at 1/3 value to lift the local TV blackout. So it'll cost $46,667 to get the game on TV.

* Read some history of the NFL's blackout rule here and learn why former Eggles owner Leonard Tose was a even bigger dickweed than Bill Bidwill.

* The Rams filled the final spot on their 8-man practice squad with former Oklahoma running back Allen Patrick. He was a 7th-round pick in 2008 and has yet to play in a regular-season game.
