The Rams signed their 2015 draft class Friday: RB Todd Gurley, OL Rob Havenstein, Jamon Brown, Andrew Donnal and Cody Wichmann, QB Sean Mannion, LB Bryce Hager and DE Martin Ifedi. Training camp dates have not yet been released. Based on past years, the Rams seem likely to open camp on July 31st, with rookies reporting on the 29th.
Sixth-round pick Bud Sasser was cut before the start of OTAs. I assume it wasn't discovered until his team physical that he has a heart condition, unspecified, that will not allow him to play football. I can't imagine he would have been drafted otherwise. Sasser "sought multiple medical opinions" according to Pro Football Talk but got no green lights. The Rams waived him with a non-football illness designation but still signed him to his rookie contract, and he will keep a signing bonus of over $113,000.
